I’ve just got rid of a nasty chest infection now I’ve come down with what feels like flu. I’m sweating profusely, every muscle in my body is aching and I can’t think straight for the life of me. My head is absolutely pounding and I can’t taste a thing. My partner has gone back to work today and I’m dreading my 18 month old waking up because I don’t know how I’m going to survive! I think my immune system is pretty naff, but I do my best to eat healthy and stay fit.

Should I be looking into vitamins? I will literally try anything to not suffer every winter! My partner never gets poorly, not that he should be we do the same!

Please send help and solidarity :( there’s no village to help with the little one.

Oh that sounds awful op! I think a bed day with your little one is in order, gather everything you need (nappies, wipes, drinks, snacks, a pile of toys) into your bedroom, have you a TV in there? Or an iPad? Kids movies and shows on to keep her entertained while you lie down. It's not ideal but at least it's a bit of rest. Plenty of painkillers and fluids.
