So sorry in advance for this photo however partner is away on a work do so on my own with my two young kids asleep upstairs. I’ve had bad smelling urine for a few days and a few minor pains, I thought it may be a uti but just brushed it off as we’ve been so busy. 2 days ago there was a bit of blood when wiping however this morning there is a very visible amount of blood 😢 I don’t know whether this is really serious or just a trip to the gp? Is this a uti or something worse?

A UTI. I once had to give a sample in a bottle and it looked like I was giving in a bottle of blood! You need an emergency GP appointment to get antibiotics ASAP.

In the meantime, drink as much water as you can. You'll be fine soon.

Thank you so much for the reply! That gives me a bit of peace and mind. I was meant to be working today when my partner comes home this morning but will definitely ring the gp first thing.

You can also get antibiotics from a pharmacy for a UTI but personally I would prefer a GP appointment where you can hand in a sample and check that thr antibiotics they give you aren't resistant to whatever bacteria you have. For now can you collect a sample in a clean (washed) container like a water bottle or jar?

I had this with kidney stones.
Please get a check up asap.
