oooowwwwwww it HURTS!!!!!
The left side of my face hurts from ear to bottom of jaw & it came on lastnight for the 2nd time in a week, this time at 3am. I lay there awake with it getting worse & worse, to scared to get up and take pain kilers for fear of waking DD... but finally stopped caring at 5am. Pain killers not working tho & it is HURTING. I had hygenist at dentists a few weeks ago and she said my teeth were fine after a good scrape etc. I can't get a regular dentists appointment until 20th May!!!
I am this close to just rolling around on the floor crying in agony - someone please give advice.. if not then sympathy!

ow ow ow ow ow owwwwwwwwwww

Poor you, either tooth problem or ear infection I would say, can you get an appointment at the Docotors quicker than the 20th May, to even get some horse type pain killers ?

Also you said that was the next routine appointment, surely if you explain to the receptionist the pain you are in there must be an emergency slot available ?

LynetteScavo · 01/05/2008 14:50

Ohhh2! SYMPATHY! I'd get an emergancy apt at GP or Dentist, which ever you think more apropriate. Poor you!

superflybaby · 01/05/2008 15:27

ah thanks! was beginning to think nobody cared I have managed to get an appointment at GP this afternoon as the worse the pain gets the more it is focused around my ear. I've also have 2 epsiodes of vertigo recently so I think that pretty much confirms it is ear related. Whatever, it just bloody hurts & I want those horse tranquillisers!

Glad you have an appointment superflybaby, the elephant tranquillisers are very good too

Is that your name coz of the housework thingy I have read about? Am officially allergic to housework and need to get my head round it a bit better !

superflybaby · 02/05/2008 09:14

Housework thing? Not heard of it - literally am rubbish at housework but not as rubbish as my DP, so our house always a 'work in progress' as I like to call it...

could be sinus's....

my DD1 spent all of last week not being able to sleep....in tears....convinced her teeth were rotten (even tho she had seen dentist literally the week before!)

took her back to the dentist, he took xrays, t'was her sinus's!!!!

she is pain free now, but it took a week.

sinutabs and ibrufen helped some tho

Psychomum5 · 02/05/2008 09:21

oh, and lying on a hot water bottle helped too.....but please make sure the entire bottle is covered.....DD1 didn;t, burnt her ear.

BTW...I was not being neglectful there....DD1 is 14.....quite old enough to listen to me when I tell her to keep it wrapped properly

superflybaby · 02/05/2008 09:53

psychomum5 you are correct! I went to docs yesterday and it is Sinusitis - an infection of the sinuses which can cause toothache & jaw ache and ear ache - basically face ache! I have antibiotics, nasal spray & super strength painkillers & feel a bit better today already.
I know how your DD1 felt - it really scares you thinking all your teeth are gonna have to come out! glad she is ok now, it is not a nice thing to experience.

hey....tis good to be correct.

I hope you feel better soon...I suffer sinus pain occasionally, and it is horrid....never made my teeth hurt that bad tho, tis mainly around my eyes and bending down that hurts.
