Have rung GP and waiting for advice. I was helping DS (1 yr) clean his teeth, put him down for a minute to pour a cup of tea, turned around and he wasn't there, I ran after him and he was leaning over the toilet bowl and had scrubbed his toothbrush about in it. I don't know if he put it in his mouth or not. The loo had obviously been flushed since I used it last but not bleached or cleaned. I thought I had shut the door I am devastated .

Do you think they will offer him prophylactic antibiotics? I really don't want him to get this bug, I've been quite poorly.

i don't think so but I expect he will be fine. You could try giving him live yogurt for a few days just to boost his gut flora (or whatever the technical term is!)
