I've had a mole checked by the GP a brown one. They didn't think it looked serious so they booked me for a dermatologist appointment one month later. I've just been to the dermatologist and they took photos of it and I've been told I'll have a face to face appointment with the GP in 10 days time. I'm trying not to worry but it's very hard. Has anyone else had this experience?

Hey op,I know it’s difficult to not worry. I’m only going by what happened with a relative , she went to the doctor they took photo sent to dermatologist- with in half hour they called her to come in the next morning. They took it off with biopsy (it was skin cancer but was growing out not in). No chemo or anything needed. She’s absolutely fine now, this was a black mark that had been growing for many years. I know I would be extremely worried, I know when I have had health scares like this I always try to keep myself busy- do not google and speak to friends about your worries (I promise it helps). Keep us updated and here if you need to chat.
