Shitting myself, endoscopy and colonoscopy this morning

Just that really!!

Had colonoscopy before but not endoscopy.

I am so nervous. Had 3 hours sleep

You’re bound to be nervous. I’ve had 3 - no sedation whatsoever, throat spray, full sedation.

The latter two were the best.

Defo go for whatever level of protection you need for the procedure (protection for your mental health). If/when I have another one, I’ll go throat spray or full sedation if I’m given the choice again.

If you have a bladder weakness may I suggest taking spare pants and trousers. Don't ask me how I know.....

Thank you all. I am at the hospital now waiting to be admitted to the ward.

I am definitely having everything I can have, worried the sedation will ware off because they get to the colonoscopy!

Hopefully it's all done now and you're fine! The good thing is you ge the intital results back straight away unless biopsies are taken, and they usually have a good idea of what's going on, if anything.

They can top up the sedation during the procedure. Have throat spray as well to help prevent gagging.
