does anyone hve spotting in the few days leading up to their period?

I do, can be up to 4 days or so

i have had it happen before for quite a few months , seemed to have stopped recently until now that is!
just wondered what caused it and if it was normal really.
i have noticed a bit of spotting since sunday but still no period!

I presume you are not the age on your profile.

I think I would go to the GP just to get it checked out. You could always ask to see the nurse.
