I suffer from arthritis in my feet, it can be ok and then it comes on and I get a sharp pain and can barely walk. It is affecting my life. Is there anything I can take to stop it flaring up?

Not that I would suggest treatment to someone on the internet, but there are different types of arthritis.

What has your GP recommended ?
