Worms in stool???

Hi,
Sorry this is very TMI but does this look like a worm? Found after I had been to the toilet this morning and was wiping.
I'm freaking out. Is there anything I can take before I get to the Dr.? I'm really embarrassed to mention it to anyone
Thanks

Not sure, they are usually alive when you see them like that and it's quite big for a thread worm. Take some Ovex from the chemist and see what happens.

@Hoglet70 thanks for the reply. I will go get that today.

I don’t think that’s a threadworm - it looks much too big.
If your sure it’s a worm then I’d see the doctor as you might need a different medicine or treatment regime if it is a different type.

Not being funny but it could be a bean sprout. Have you eaten stir fry recently?

Circumferences · 07/12/2024 10:57

Are you itchy. That's the main symptom.

Doggymummar · 07/12/2024 10:57

I thought beansprout

Dueanamechange2025 · 07/12/2024 10:58

I think that looks like something undigested.

Shitlord · 07/12/2024 11:00

That's very long for a threadworm. Was it moving and have you got an itchy bum? Could be a thread or a piece of fibre from food. Have you travelled lately?

LadyQuackBeth · 07/12/2024 11:01

Have you been eating celery sticks?

Mummabear10032021 · 07/12/2024 12:38

@LadyQuackBeth no I actually haven't . I'm trying to think of what I ate and nothing it's making sense for this

This looks nothing like a thread worm. More likely a fibre of undigested food..

Littletreefrog · 07/12/2024 22:02

Thread worms tend to be smaller, whiter and wriggly-er.

Silverfoxlady · 08/12/2024 14:01

Not a threadworm. Undigested food - too long and thin.
