Help me stop this noise

I've been unwell the last few days with a possible chest infection. Felt lots better yesterday and today but now I have a constant cracking / squeaking sound coming from my lungs mostly when I breathe out. If I cough it only clears for a few seconds. My husband can hear it when sitting next to me on the sofa. It's driving me slightly mad and wondering if anyone has any tips to stop this ?

Sounds like you need an inhaler to open the airwaves?

Sometimes the crackles can indicate an infection. Or asthma. Could you ring 111 nhs and ask advice?

I do that when I have an upper respiratory infection. If you are asthmatic, you should be able to take an extra dose of your preventer midday and track your PF. If it is no better after a couple of days or gets worse, you may need ABs and possibly steroids, so a trip to GP.

I think I would ring 111. It's much better to be safe with this sort of thing.
