during my m/c with my twins i had a big blood loss. my blood levels went down to 7.6 and i was sent home from hospital with iron tablets. now having a conversation with my cousin she says she had low blood count and was told if she dropped to 8 or below she would need a blood transfusion. does anyone no if ths is right and should i of been offerd a transfusion?

my experience is that they try to avoid transfusion if at all possible, look here if it's any help?
I had repeated blood tests and such to establish that things were 'mending' and getting back towards normal. If you're lacking energy, short of breath etc then get in touch with your GP and they could organise for you to have a fbc done.
to hear about your mc. when was it?
