You're probably best to avoid it tbh how about a romantic dvd, the quilt on the sofa and a warm drink with lots of cuddles So sorry to hear about you mc

i feel like i'm drowning at night, incredibly short of breath and extreme discomfort but not pain. what have i got (has come on v suddenly, over last 3 days, no snot, can breath through nose, but can't breathe properly).

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 02/05/2008 23:54

Yup, I had it too, about 4 years ago. Horrible. I was in the process of splitting up with DD's dad, & he was furious that I fell ill on his birthday & couldn't "perform". I grinned & beared my way through the party, then walked 3 miles to the out of hours GP the next day. Every step felt impossible. Ended up in hospital for 3 days. Can relate to all the "I thought I was dying" posts.

Poor you Tye. I'll be thinking of you.

And so sorry that you lost your two little ones

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 02/05/2008 23:55

And sophable - that sounds ghastly. Get thee to a doc!

charliecat · 03/05/2008 09:59

oh limit the dairy products...something to do with mucus, and prop yourself up so you arent drowning..

Heathcliffscathy · 03/05/2008 20:40

I've got viral pleurisy. I have found out after a horrible afternoon spent in A&E (which snowballed from calling out of hours GP who said to go to Walk in clinic at hospital who took one look at how out of breath i was and sent me straight to A&E).

Am feeling extremely sorry for myself.

charliecat · 03/05/2008 21:21

what does the viral in fron mean? Its crap innit? what have you been given?

Heathcliffscathy · 03/05/2008 22:59

you're going to have to excuse my language for a second now:

IT MEANS THAT NOT EVEN ANTI-BIOTICS WORK AND THERE IS FUCK ALL THAT ANYONE CAN DO APART FROM TAKE IBUPROFEN AND PAINKILLERS.

sorry about that.

CountessDracula · 03/05/2008 23:08

OMG
YOU poor thing

charliecat · 04/05/2008 10:38

charliecat · 04/05/2008 10:39

OOps pressed post before i got to the, what a shitter bit and dont lay down flat, avoid dairy products bit!

geekgirl · 04/05/2008 10:44

I had pleurisy and pneumonia simultaneously a couple of years ago, it was sooo grim, and to top it off I could hear the rustling every time I breathed . I am (usually very mildly) asthmatic and ended up on oral steroids for a month and had a horrible asthma attack from which I could have apparently died according to my GP . The whole episode took about 6 months to get over.
Poor you
