Nose sore not healing

Hi all, new here. So I have terrible health anxiety. Few weeks ago I started with a nose sore in one side only which lasted weeks. Finally went away with some naseptin and fuciden cream. Been gone for a month and now it’s back in the same place. I’ve goggled and now scared myself to death as it says nasal cancers etc. I am currently being tested for allergies anyway aside from this so maybe it’s that but it’s just the same place scares me a little . Not scabby or bleeding just like a tiny place of pink raw skin.

Ah! If you have allergies that will be it. I have recurrent nasal infections because allergies make my poor nose so sore. My GP did refer me to an ENT where I'm still waiting for the next appointment but they were v clear that allergies and a bit of a drippy nose is why this happens. They might try you on dymista.

I don't think a cancer would go away with fucidin!

Phone your doctors in the morning, you will be fine. Do it tomorrow and you will be feeling much better by Sunday. Your doctor will sort it out..

Thank you - yes I am getting the allergy blood test results tomorrow hopefully. When I had a camera up my nose at ent they said the whole of the inside of my nose up high (I can see this part) he said was red raw. This part is about 1cm in and yes it went away for a few weeks. But now it’s back in the same place. Have started back on fuciden and hoping it goes again. Do you get this often?

I get it all the time! Am also due my allergy tests back imminently. Dreading it being a dust allergy....

Hate fucidin. Bactroban is my favourite! Fucidin just washes out due to my runny nose...

Yes I read about a different type of cream - I will ask tomorrow at ENT. The only reason I worry more is it’s only in one spot all the time

Me too! Seeing the GP next week. Was on holiday abroad and had 'Rudolph's sign' so a pharmacist gave me antibiotic cream and oral ABs. Cleared it up but it soon came back....
