I'm early 20s and for the last two weeks had to poo about an hour after food, makes me feel uncomfortable then have to go. When I go there is quite a bit of bright red blood in the bowl. It's been like it for two weeks now. I'm terrified- have a gp appointment this week. Not really sure what I'm posting for ... just scared.

One step at a time. Wait and see what the GP says. It could be many things.

Think of some questions to ask the doctor- write them down.

Have a photo ready to show gp.
Take one step at a time.

It's great you have an appointment with GP. I've been through similar and know It is alarming to see, but as PP said, it could be down to lots of different things.

Do you have any diarrhoea or constipation?

It could be absolutely nothing to worry about. If it's bright red, are you sure it's not just piles? Your GP will probably do a FIT test. You may then have a colonoscopy, in which case DEMAND ADEQUATE SEDATION. It could be any number of things. In my case it's diverticulosis which are small pouches in my ascending colon. Just an age thing. Pre- and pro-biotics along with adequate roughage and paracetamol for flare-ups work. Flowers
