Very odd illness/illnesses going on in our house at the moment.

Last Friday I woke up in the night feeling achey and shivery took my temperature and was 39 degrees - no other symptoms - no cold cough headache or sore throat just literally fever and body aches, much the same on the Saturday fever and aches. Felt much better on Sunday and Monday so went to work - woke up Tuesday with a really bad cough by 6pm the cough had completely gone Wednesday was totally fine but half way through the next day I had the most horrendous cold but no other symptoms with it at all had cold all of yesterday too so much sneezing and completely blocked but no sign of a cold at all today, my nose is as clear as anything. I am scared what symptom I am going to get tomorrow!

My son had a cold on Monday and Tuesday so kept him off school on Tuesday as he had a long day - by Wednesday morning cold was gone and has been fine ever since until an hour ago and he has come down with a high temperature no other symptoms and I have had to pick him up from his friends house. He was playing video games happily 1 hour ago!!! Again no other symptoms just a high fever and body aches.

DD absolutely horrendous sore throat all day Tuesday and Wednesday but the week before had a fever for a day.

It is weird, usually you get it all together - fever cold headache etc and not days of being fine in between - it means it is dragging on for weeks between us all.

I wonder if we all have separate bugs and we are all infecting each other or is it just a virus that is presenting in a different way to normal. Anyone else had this??

Yup. We’ve had it in our house. Myself and DH both had it-our DS somehow managed to avoid it.
I started with a mild sore throat and a low grade fever. Felt well enough to work (I’m wfh) so plodded on. After about 2 days got a bit of a bad tummy. Another 2 days felt fine, then suddenly sore throat came back, much worse and developed tickly cough. For 3 days I felt utterly vile, then it all disappeared as quickly as it came. Was better for 3 days and then bam! All symptoms came back. I’m on week 5 or 6 now (I’ve completely lost track) and I’m still coughing. It’s getting boring 🤣

Yes, same here I've had it since September. Its the gift that keeps on giving. A new surprise every few days. I'm just starting to feel I'm turning a corner with it

Yes same here.colleague went home in the week feeling unwell exhausted and sore throat.
By that eve I had no energy bad shivering and night sweats achy and tickle cough.
As she tested negative for COVID I haven't bothered yet.

We’ve been the same for weeks. Feel better then, boom, something else.

This is about week 9 now for us all and I feel we are finally all on the mend.

its just so weird. Most winters we are ill with some kind of virus which knocks us for 6 for 3 or 4 days but and have all the symptoms in one hit. But the feeling better than getting another symptom makes it all drag on. I would rather feel rough for 4 days than all this ill for a day than recover then ill again. My DH says we are all run down and we all need to take all next week off work and school to shift it but don't know if will make much difference as can't justify being off work and school if feel well just in case we get hit with symptoms again.

Had the virus ad well, started with sneezing, then coughing, then feeling sick, third day terrible sore throat that went away sinus next day. Then started coughing and sore throat came back. 8th day

We've both had this for the last few weeks. I don't work so can't take it much easier but usually do plenty of exercise and have tried powering through it or resting and giving classes a miss. Neither seems to make any difference!
