I have been referred to an NHS podiatric surgeon - the letter says they are not doctors which I find worrying. Does anyone have any positive experiences?

Podiatrist are trained in lower limb and feet. Not doctor but are specialists for feet
Bunion removal is low risk intervention they’re trained for, this is an appropriate referral
Let them know your anxious and ask they explain the procedure and aftercare to you

Finally good luck and speedy recovery
