Ds (17 months) is on day 3 of chicken pox with more still appearing.I have to take Dd2 to pre school this afternoon and then pop to the shops, is it ok to take Ds out when he's obviously still contagious? I have noone to watch Ds and i don't want Dd2 to miss pre school as this is only her second week. If i put the rain cover over his pushchair then surely he can't pass it on to anyone else?

You don't know my Dd2!! pre school is a big thing for her, she is a very shy child and myself and the pre school teacher have had lengthy discussions about how important it is to keep taking her. Any way i'm not on here asking about if i should take Dd2 to pre school or not i wanted advice about Ds!!

Bramshott, I will do just that leave him ouside in the pushchair and get one of the teachers to watch him while i take Dd2 in.

If he's only little and 3 days into chickenpox perhaps he'd feel better staying home for a bit anyway?

Just got back from Pre school and they are quite happy for Dd2 attend.I left Ds in the pushchair with the raincover on in the front enterance away from anyone(he's on top form by the way flowernat with no other symptoms just spots).
For those who branded me 'selfish' i gave the shops a miss!!

Amyjade - hope DS is feeling better soon. I'm working from home unexpectedly after nursery called - DD (17 months) has it too. Am off to trim her nails before she wakes up from her nap...
