Mumps or sjogrens?

Yesterday I developed what I can only describe as hamster cheeks. Both my parotid glands have swelled up. I have a bit of a dry mouth and they ache slightly but no other symptoms. Went to the GP today who is adamant that it's mumps, I'm not so sure as I don't have a fever or cold like symptoms. Google says possibly could be sjogrens. Has anyone dealt with some thing similar? Thanks 😊

I have Sjögren’s. My face has swelled up a couple of times but before this I had years of sore joints, stiffness. Extreme fatigue. Also extremely dry eyes needing cream every day, various skin problems, eg, dry skin, rashes.
If it was Sjögren’s I would have thought you would have had the joint problems and really dry eyes first, but I am not a doctor.

I have sjogrens and get this now and again from saliva gland stones . I also have very dry mouth and eyes and my teeth are knackered but my joints aren’t too bad. It definitely sounds like sjogrens to me. Try sucking a lemon or something tart to stimulate your salivary glands and it might help. I had an X-ray which helps as it can break the stones down.

I have sjogrens (and lupus) and agree with this. I’m in a Sjogrens Facebook group and it’s actually quite rare people get swollen lumps etc - it’s usually a rare thing if a salivary gland actually gets blocked. It’s more of a gradual onset with increasing dryness, sore joints, vaginal dryness etc etc. My first symptoms were persistent oral and vaginal thrush as I didn’t produce enough saliva / mucus etc to keep it at bay.
