Is this dry socket?

Hi, had a top wisdom tooth out Monday. Easy extraction and had next to no pain Monday and all day yesterday. Then last night it was excruciating throbbing pain, I kept taking paracetamol and ibroprufen and managed to get some sleep as it eased it slightly, this morning the pain has gone? I thought I had dry socket but would the pain come and go?

Usually dry socket would continue to be painful, see how it is for the rest of the day and get a emergency appointment if it starts hurting again. Make sure you are doing warm salt water rinses to keep it clean
