For the last year, I have been having brown spotting after my period, that lasts about a week. This is totally new to me and so I booked an appointment with my GP. I had an ultrasound which showed a small fibroid. I presumed that was causing the problem. My GP referred me to the Gynaecologist who examined me today. He said the fibroid is too small to be causing these problems and said my cervix is slightly ‘bulky’. He has referred me for a colonoscopy. I am since going out of my mind with worry. I was too anxious to ask him what it could be. I’m now terrified this is something serious. He did say this could just be a normal change for me (I’m 41). I suppose I’m just curious if anyone had any similar symptoms.
