I first felt some discomfort in my lower back a couple of weeks ago. I noticed when getting up from the sofa and when bending forward to get things from low cupboards, there was a tightness/pulling. It got worse initially and then started to feel a little easier in the early part of last week so I thought it was settling down.
Then, last Thursday I ben forward to pick a shoe up and felt a real tightening/stiffening again and it has been painful ever since.
Only time it doesn't hurt is when lying down. I've remained active but trying to avoid bending forward (squatting instead!) but it's getting me down, especially as I don't know what brought it on.
I've been doing yoga stretches for lower back pain but worry about making it worse.
I'm wondering if it's a disc slightly out of whack?
