I have had a sore lumpy boob for many years and told it was just a hormonal fibrosis type condition. I’ve had 2 mammograms under 40. They told me I had sensitive thick breast tissue that has thickened up into a fibrotic band.
The last couple of months I noticed I had now constant dull breast pain (like when you are due on) not just related to my cycle so I kept a track of it, couldn’t find anything in my boob that felt odd back then. It’s not in the same place as the fibrotic tissue it’s nearer the nipple. But in the shower one day recently I pressed a pea sized nodule and it hurt a LOT (made me queasy) so I booked an appt.
GP saw my history and took a look - straight away pressed the lump and said yep, 1-2cm lump here but not sure what it is so will refer you. It had also started to be itchy but I’m not sure if it’s just dry skin, as it’s winter.
Visually looks totally normal no changes but intermittently itchy. The pain however is whenever I move around (boob jiggles) or if my DD lays on me it’s also painful. It’s also hurt since the GP prodded it.
I am waiting now to be seen. People keep reassuring me saying the pain is a good sign it’s probably a cyst but I am feeling so anxious and scared I left it too long to get referred. I have no history of BC in my female family members
I haven’t really told anyone in real life about it
