Ibuprofen suitable when infection is present?

I have a cut on my leg that I believe might be infected. I'm booked in at minor injuries first thing tomorrow.

I've been taking ibuprofen for another reason recently and I'm wondering if it would be better to stop taking it because perhaps the inflammatory response is a good thing in this situation, I mean, perhaps the anti-inflammatory effect is not desirable?

Is this the case or does it not matter?

I know I could ask a pharmacist but I didn't want to go to one just to ask that when my leg hurts.

Thanks for any advice.
