A few weeks ago I ended up in hospital for a few days as i had a very painful throat and went to the docs and my heart rate was through the roof and temp up at 40 etc they were worried about possible sepsis so had to go to hospital.
I was kept in and monitored and given antibiotics and started feeling better although they said they couldn’t actually see anything wrong with my throat (tonsils were removed when I was young) but it honestly felt like I was swallowing glass so they thought the infection must have been further down.
Iv been home a few weeks and been back at the docs a few times as my throat is still sore but more on the one side. Had antibiotics again but nothing has really cleared it although it’s no where near as sore as it was and temp etc is away.
iv just noticed a red lump on the side of my throat that’s sore probably round about where my tonsil used to be. Iv got the docs again tomorrow but just looking to see if anyone has had anything similar and can share their story as I’m starting to freak out it could be something more serious.
Iv read about tonsil regrowth as well and unsure if it could be this. Also brining up alot of phlegm and feel like there’s still loads stuck in my throat.
