Is what I coughed up blood tinged?! (Photo) Virus/Asthma

Hi all

I have a nasty virus, I also have quite bad asthma and am waiting on respiratory team at the hospital to give me an appointment.

I was at the doctor's today as my peak flow is low. I've been given steroids to take if my peak flow is worse over this week (normally 400, currently 270 today at the doctor's and if it gets to 200 I'm to take steroids).

While I saw the asthma nurse she said my chest was clear. However this evening I've coughed up this almost pinky mucus? I haven't been coughing much of anything up but I am very breathless hence seeing the asthma nurse.

Basically what is this and do I need to bother the GP again?! Or take steroids now? I'm worried it's blood tinged but honestly I can't be sure.

What would you do? If anything?

No. I don't see any pink or red in that, it's a bit yellow-y which can be indicative of an infection
If it continues, see your gp.

No blood there, you may be developing an infection, just keep an eye on the amount & colour over the next few days. If a big increase in amount or colour changes to free see you GP. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

I'm not sure actually it is a bit yellow but in the light at home it looks more pink.

Sorry to post another tmi picture!

Anyway, if it gets any worse/green etc I will contact doctor again.
