Conjunctivitis in 21m DS?

Hes got a really runny nose, and so (disgusting i know) but was unsure whether some snot had made its way up into his eye (urgh), but have pulled loads of stringy stuff out of his eye, and this morning, it was nearly fused shut with dried green stuff, had to bathe it open in warm water!

Any ideas on what to do or is it a doctors job?

xx

Oh poor LO!

Go to pharmacy and buy some Saline solution. Dampen cotton wool balls with saline and clean from corner of eye outwards (only once and throw cotton wool away) and repeat throughout the day.

Have you or a friend got any breastmilk going? If so, squirt in the eye a couple of times a day, and that may do the trick.

If not, it may be worth taking your ds to the chemist and see what the pharmacist thinks. Sometimes they can recommend things over the counter so you don't have the pain of trying to get a Dr's appointment.
