12 month old dd has like the rest of us had a cold, it wasn't until a friend came round yesterday and said has she still got that, that I realised how long its gone on for.

Its just when she breathes sometimes she sounds chesty, she is totally fine in herself and not bothered by it at all. Dont want to waste doctors time if it will clear up on its own.

I am off the 'ignore' school with this sort of thing, but I suspect you should probably take her in at this stage- could have an infection that needs some ABs

I'd go to the doctors, it has been 3 weeks after all. I'm currently considering doing the same thing with my 13 month dd and she's only been ill for a week. She seems fine in herself other than the 'sea lion' cough and eternal runny nose, but she isn't eating much at all. Today 4 fromage frais and 13oz of milk. Totally goes against all the organic and homemade recipes I've been killing myself making over the past 7 months.

I am beside myself with worry- first time mum and all

Thanks, I did take her to the doctors they checked her over and said its all clear, they seem to think that she might of had more than 1 cold, told if I am still worried in a week bring her back.
