L5/s1 disc protrusion- knee weakness

Hi, just wanted to see if anyone is going through something similar and to seek advice
I have had an MRI and the results showed I had a small central L5/ S1 disc protrusion which causes me severe pain which initially started off as just back pain, but I have noticed if I have a busy day or I have climbed a lot of stairs, I suffer from excruciating pain in my legs and specifically knees, to the point where I am unable to bend my knees and simply cannot walk or use stairs due to the severe pain. I recently was to told to go for another MRI due to the leg weakness and when they checked my right knee reflex, they said it was absent. Has anyone experienced anything like this or got any advice as I’m really worried about this and it is ruining my life!!!
