Vagina lump

Hi all,
I'm 41 and 4 weeks ago I found a slightly itchy fleshy lump near my vaginal opening. For 2 weeks I put various creams on it in the hope it would go but it didn't. I booked in to see my GP. He said he didn't think it was anything sinister. He thought it was where a duct had got blocked and the repaired skin had formed a kind of fleshy lump. He prescribed a steroid and antibiotic cream which I have to use for 2 - 4 weeks.

We're now 2 and a half weeks in of using the cream. The lump has reduced the swelling massively but it's still there.

This is really impacting my life. The constant worry is awful.

Has anyone ever had anything similar?

If its ok to ask, Is the lump a part of the skin?
As in can you feel the 'root' of it? I would definitely go back to the GP and so you can get further info and they can monitor it.

The lump now looks very similar to a skin tag, kind of away from the skin if you see what I mean
