Sorry to post here (did post in child health but no one really responded).

My daughter who is 8 has a swelling under her chin.
I phoned 111 and had a video call with a GP that night who said it could be mumps so to keep her at home and they will contact our GP to get her seen the next day.

We were seen and the GP told us it is a swollen lymph node and to come back in 2 weeks if it hasn't gone down.

She had chicken pox 3 weeks ago but this came up only a few days ago.
It is very swollen, just wanted to ask if anyone had anything like it and how long it took to go down?

I have attached a photo to show what the swelling os like.

I'm no doctor but I'd say it's likely a response to the chicken pox. My son had a viral infection once and his lymph nodes appeared just as I thought he was over it. The doctor said it was just an unusual way round for it to happen but he recovered and they had gone down by another week. Try not to worry too much but do get it checked with a doctor if it doesn't go down.

Lysine and red root could help
