Hoping someone may have gone through the same. I am 39. For the last year or so, my periods have become much more frequent. I am experiencing awful ovulation pain and low mood / paranoia / rage. Usually this clears for a couple of days before it all starts over again 7 days before my period. As my periods are currently every 24 days, it just feels like it's all the time. Essentially, PMDD symptoms. However, after an awful bout of it at ovulation this month, it simply hasn't subsided. I have no patience, I'm full of rage, and tearful non stop etc etc. it's hugely impacted my life. I have ND children so I need to get over this.
Is this peri? Is that what it sounds like to any that have been through it? I had blood tests once at the docs and they came back normal in 2022. These were LH and FSH. I'm also hypothyroid so I guess my meds could do with tweaking but I don't believe I've had these symptoms as a result of that in the past. I'm just a bit desperate but don't feel the GP will be interested. I had the tests in 2022 because my periods had changed, but they weren't this close together then. The GP agreed to the test but otherwise told me to get on with it. Any one have any ideas? Could it be something other than peri?
