Mouthguard and bite

I have been using a mouthguard for the last three or four weeks due to grinding and clenching. Just recently I've noticed my bite seems off, making eating a little awkward as I'm conscious of my teeth clashing. Could it be my mouthguard that's caused this?? Has anyone else had anything similar? And if yes did you just stop using the mouthguard and did your bite rectify itself?

Thank you:-)

Hi

Just in case anyone has the same issue, I didn't sleep with my mouthguard last night and my bite is back to normal.... It's just a pia because it was helping my clenching, I'd finally got used to sleeping in it and it cost me £250!!! Sighhhhh

I do think mine changes my bite a bit. I've had it for years and I'm sure it didn't used to.

I did Google it and it seems a common occurrence, I'm just a little miffed because at the time I hadn't associated the two and whilst eating a sunflower seed salad the other day with my odd bite - ended up biting hard on one of my front teeth which is now loose. 😫 My dentist didn't provide any warnings or guidance (or even a container for it!! Gave it to me in a plastic airport security bag!!!) , it was literally here you are, money please, go.
If anyone can recommend a dentist near Belvedere/Bexleyheath please let me know.
