Husband gone to A&E possible DVT

Feeling super anxious, I'm at home with the kids and my MIL has taken him in. Didn't want to worry the kids but I wish I was with him.

I was already feeling quite on edge as we are moving house next week, I haven't slept properly last 3 nights due to pulling my neck/shoulder and having pain from that and I've just come on my period so I'm feeling a lot of "doom"! Basically im not sure if I'm being nuts.

Has anyone been in for DVTs who can tell me how it went for them? Wondering if A&E will prioritise him as Dr Google says can be life threatening....

My husband had this. It is dangerously but he is going to the right place to be looked after. They may give him medications to break down the clot, that’s what happened with us. Alternatively I think they can operate. Hopefully if they get it on time it won’t go to his lungs, my husband’s did. Recovery can take a while for some. For my husband, even out walking was an effort for about 18 months afterwards. He is on medication now for life but he’s ok.
So it’s great that he has gone to the hospital and it might not even be a clot. If it is, there is treatment for it. And hopefully it hasn’t travelled far. Yes, it is life threatening but seems like it’s caught on time.
Try and look after yourself too at this worrying time.

He's had the all clear! They said that he has quite muscular knees and strong ligaments so it looked like the vein had become trapped but then freed itself again. Such a relief.

Thank you so much for your response, sorry to hear your husband had a difficult time x

Glad it’s all OK, had a similar worrying situation with my husband recently!
