Worried about 7 month old ingesting cleaning spray

I would love some advice…
I had a cleaning cloth i had washed in the sink by hand out drying on a dining chair and my 7 month old reached out of her high chair and started sucking it- i was making milk and i came back and saw her sucking it …before i had washed the cloth i had used a ‘natural’ essential oil cleaning spray on it…

These are the ingredients Counter Clean - Frankincense & Myrrh

>30% Non-ionic Surfactants. 5-15% Fragrance* (contains Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-pinene, Myrcene, Alpha-thujene, Geranyl Acetate, Geraniol), Anionic Surfactants, Benzyl Alcohol. <5% Salicylic Acid, Sorbic Acid.

While i washed it quickly over the sink, i only used water and the cloth still smelt of the spray.

should i go to a+e/ call 111? i washed her hands and mouth out after but i have no idea how much she ingested/how diluted it would have been on the cloth. She seems fine but i don’t know i googled things like ingesting salicylic acid and now I’m panicking. If it’s not clear, I have health related anxiety so this is literally my nightmare.

Many thanks!

Hi OP!

What does the product label say? They normally have warnings about ingestion.

You had just washed the cloth with water, so any small amount you had sprayed on would have been even further diluted by the water - it's likely the fragrance was still slightly there as they're formulated to leave a scent behind.

How much of the cloth did she suck? I'm assuming just a corner or small portion, and not for very long? I'd keep an eye on her mouth and perhaps ring your GP to see if you can speak to a nurse of similar or the pharmacist for a quick chat?

helllo! I attached a photo of the symbols it has.

I don’t know how long she was sucking because i left her and her twin in high chairs with teethers and i went to get some milk and check on my son who is home sick from school, i came back and saw she had reached over, had the cloth and was sucking on it! I feel like an idiot but i really didn’t think it was reachable.

Ah so it looks flammable and not great if you wash it straight into water ways, but if it was diluted on the cloth anyway and you'd washed the cloth - very little would remain!

Have you managed to speak to a pharmacist or similar? They should be able to reassure or give you any guidance if you're still worried.

The photo is a bit blurry on the words but it looks like it talks about washing out the eyes if in contact etc? It definitely shouldn't be digested, but from the sounds of it your child has ingested very very little if any of the product, from a washed cloth.

How is she? Any marks in her mouth or anything?

If it helps - my sister used to suck her flannel in the bath for hours, and that was full of Mr Matey and all sorts - and she's all well and good 😊
