Looking for a fitness watch for DH for xmas. I've had a look on few posts and a lot recommend the Garmin but mainly for the exercise side of things and although this would be useful I'm more interested in the health stats such as heart rate, blood pressure, quality of sleep etc I was considering the Samsung Gakaxy 7 but would love any advice and recommendations
Budget around £300.

Just looked at the Samsung again and it needs charging daily so no good.

I have a Fitbit that I love

It monitors my steps, exercise, sleep, eating etc

Charge lasts 7-10 days

He currently has a fit bit, but doesn't measure blood pressure so thought about getting him an upgrade.

My DH has a Garmin and is always crowing about the battery life compared to my Apple Watch! He's right, it is impressive.

I think a Garmin is pretty good for everything you are looking for.

I have a garmin 55 (I run). It's my second garmin and they are brilliant. The charge lasts well over a week. It also gives you your sleep stats, heart rate and stress levels (all the time you are wearing it of course, not just when running).

I had Fitbit versa and now have Apple. Fitbit is good, and it probably wasn't worth changing. The aftercare is a bit ropey, though. John Lewis offer a free two year guarantee.

Does it measure blood pressure?

I wouldn't have thought any watch could measure blood pressure.Confused
Not reliably anyway - how would they do it?

Trampauline · 12/11/2024 18:50

No. You can measure it with your own blood pressure monitor and input it into your garmin app, and keep tabs on it that way.
