Advice on a black henna tattoo

Whilst on holiday DD and I got black henna tattoos done. they were fine but DD was swimming hours everyday and hers faded very quickly and she wanted to be able to show it to her friends when we got back so , stupidly I now realise, we bought a black 'henna' tatto kit and I went over the original design for her again. It was fine for about 5 days but has now become itchy and she has obviously reacted to it.

Looking on the internet I find that this is probably hair dye chemicals that I have applied to her skin and she may have a life long allergy to it so I am racked with guilt now.

Does anyone know how i can get this tattoo off quicker than just letting it fade? Will she be permanently scarred?

I think you need to contact NHS Direct for advice on this. I know that some of them can burn and leave scars.
