Suddenly my periods are all over the place after 22 years of setting my watch by them....oh my God is it an early menopause?

I am 34 and have one Ds. Would love another child if various practical issues could be sorted, but am getting really worried.

Have had period that have been variously a week early twice over last few months and also two periods that have been a week late.
I know other people do have probaby much more irregular periods but this is very weird for me.

Deffo not preggers and as title suggests have had periods since aged 12 and have always been 28/29 days without fail.

Any thoughts?

Have you thought of getting a smear done, and having swabs (for thrush/chlamydia) taken at the fp clinic. if not ask your doctor for the menopausal blood test.

hello PandS

deffo cant be an infection , i am sure, was routinely screened when expecting and couldn't have gotten anything since.

Spose it will have to be the blood test then.....am really worrying

Just bumping in case anyone is on today who has had a similar experience....am still hoping it may be common/non menopause related!

I can usually set my watch by mine - 28 days exactly but a month or so ago I got one that was 5 days early. That freaked me out. They've gone back to 28 days again now though.

It could be something and nothing - get it checked out but try not to worry unless you hear something worrying iykwim! You could be wasting your energy.

my cycles are usually 30/32 days last month it was 27 days and that freaked me out too, counting the days now, but I do have PCOS
