Lymph node in toddler's groin

I can feel / see DS's lymph node on one side of his groin. It's actually been like this for months - I don't know why I'm suddenly bothered about it now

It's about the size of a petit pois...well kind of a squashed one iykwim.

I had a look in the archives and raised lymph glands in that area seem to be associated with nappy rashes and infections, but he has neither. I think I'll take him to the quack next week, but can anyone help me lay off on the Saturday night fretting?

I've got 2 enlarged ones in my neck, the same size. My gp said not to worry unless they grow. Take him to the GP anyway though.

ooh...normally they are connected to infection, not always tho....sometimes just that they are there and you can feel them IYGWIM (my DD1 always has had hers up in her neck since she was 4 and she is now 14!)

BUT....they could be up because he fell over and grazed his knee, as long ago as 4/6mths.

DH's were up in his groin once and they traced it back to him falling over and grazing his knee while playing footy, and footy season had been over for 3mths at that point!

always tho, take him to docs to ensure
