Excessive, smelly wind

Major TMI incoming.

For the last day I have had continuous wind, not only is it literally non stop it reeks. I know I've eaten foods that will aggravate my digestive system. Think mushy peas, spicy baked beans, sprouts etc. It's been that bad it's woken me up!

I am waiting for a gastro appointment to possibly have my gallbladder removed - I have a polyp and every so often I get pain in that area. I've had some discomfort whilst I've had this awful wind episode. I also have IBS so I'm not sure if this fits in with my gallbladder issue or it's an IBS flare up.

I've eaten a plain salad for lunch and it's kicked off the wind again. I'm drinking green tea and peppermint tea in the hope it calms down a bit.

Any suggestions as to what it may be?

Have you had any artificial sweeteners? I have a terrible reaction to sorbitol and xylitol. They are in sugar free chewing gum and in some sugar free sweets. They crop up in random things, I bought a vitamin spray without realising it had xylitol in it.

Hmm 🤔 I've had some Pepsi max this week once or twice.

No I didn't eat Oatibix.

To be honest it feels like no matter what I eat my stomach just kicks off.

Do you have fermented foods in your diet? I say this as someone who's struggled with digestive problems for 10+ years. No exaggeration to say it's massively changed my life.

Kombucha has given me lots of benefits - message me if you want the link.

Try this - the only Kombucha that's been certified to be good.
