I think I have the onset of thrush - some itching and discharge. I have been on about 4 lots of anti biotics in the last month so its expected I think. I have got a low dull tummy ache with it tho.
Anyway, now for the embarassing bit - I found some canestan supositories tucked away in a cupboard and used one. Only after did I check the use by date and it was 2002
What a slattern!
Will I be ok - please tell me i havent damaged my fanjo forever!

Don't worry, they will probably be less effective. My neighbour uses tampons soaked in garlic for this. She swears it works. I've tried garlic for oral thrush (after antibiotics), that worked.

how do you soak tampons in garlic?? I only have cloves in the house

I think she crushed them and spread them over the tampon. Left it for a few hours, scrape off the garlic and, well, you know!

droopytits · 26/04/2008 20:25

ouch!!

. She swears it works. It did on my tongue though. Honestly.
