So I have been feeling really unwell since the birth of my 3rd child 12 months ago. I have been suffering with lower back pain for a long time since the birth of my 1st child 9 years ago which has got progressively worse the more children I have had and it gets worse when I do a lot of things, the doctor put it down to lose mechanical back pain and has referred me for physio, it is their constantly but very mildy and is severe if I over do it and I am constantly carrying my 12 month old on my hip who will not go down most of the time( another issue ) I lost a lot of blood during my delivery, iron levels was OK before being discharged from hospital but my iron levels have continued to decrease over the last 12 months since giving birth, 3 months ago I had a week of feeling lightheaded and had another blood test and they confirmed I was now iron deficency anaemic but mildly and have me iron supps for 3 months, also had mild vitamin d deficiency. I have been taking the tablets for almost 3 months, within 2 weeks I felt so much better and thought things were ok, then last month I started feeling dizzy when I turned my head and it kicked off panic attacks and I was constantly feeling dizzy, which then led to pain in my ears, I went to the doctors 3 times who said they didn’t know what was wrong, by the end of the 3 weeks I was ill I ended up with a terrible sinus infection, was given antibiotics and the doctors put the whole thing down to a viral infection that was causing the dizziness, I was also experiencing some blurred vision during that time, I had my eyes tested back in June and my eyes are fine but she said one of my eyes was weaker as I don’t wear my glasses and use my phone and screen time a lot ( I still don’t wear my glasses regularly) I got better and was more positive but now I am back to that point again. I feel exhausted absolutely all the time, now I will admit my 12 month old has not slept an entire night since she was born, she still wakes up multiple times in the night, I don’t have time to rest during the day and for the past few months she just wants to be picked up constantly and will not go down. It got to the point the other day I picked her up and felt dizzy and almost fell backwards, she’s about 10kg now so not light and I’m constantly carrying her everywhere as she will just not go down, I feel mentally and physically exhausted, for the last 2 days I have been feeling light headed again, blurred vision, pressure and pain in my ears and it’s awful and I’m getting scared something is seriously wrong. My iron should surely be normal by now, yet I noticed I had some bruises on my legs but that is normal for me even when my iron levels ok. I genuinely don’t know if I am absolutely just so burnt out which is causing all these symptoms and causing me so much stress or if I should keep going back to the doctor and be concerned something is really wrong, they keep looking at me every time like I’ve just got health anxiety but how I feel daily cannot be normal, I’m so weak, exhausted and no energy. I do have a lot of screen time each day and still don’t wear my glasses regularly so I was wondering if that part of it could be eye strain, my prescription is only 0.50 but she did say one of my eyes was weaker than the other and one is working harder. I don’t have much help available at home and don’t take much time to rest and as I said I’m not sleeping properly at all. I know no one can diagnose me but would like to hear some opinions to put my mind at rest if this sounds like a burn out/ glasses issue or if I should go back again as I’m not sure what’s going on with me

Sorry to hear you're feeling so awful. It might feel impossible to find the time but invest in your self care as much as possible. How is your diet, can you co-sleep to get more rest, can you pay for help at home.. cleaner etc. Back pain could be diastasis recti or muscle weakness or poor alignment. Look at MUTU or beginner strength workouts on YouTube. Swap screen time for deep breathing/meditation to de-stress. Start with the basics and go from there!

Have you had your thyroid checked because the fatigue, panic attacks, dizziness all symptoms of a thyroid issue.

B12 deficiency can go hand in hand with iron?

Sounds similar to symptoms I had. Got my thyroid checked and needed medication, needed vit D tablets, and had a mirena coil fitted to help with the anaemia and iron. Not sure it which it was of those 3 things that did the trick but it worked. Hope you feel better soon OP
