really not too bad, & so lovely afterwards. kind of tickles. have they given you drops to put in first? if not, a few drops of olive oil each night before you go to bed makes a big difference.

lowcalCOD · 08/01/2005 17:52

really?
am quite hope ful it will be really relieving
like bleeding a radiator!

Are you putting warm oil in every day to soften the wax?

It's a funny sensation but as long as they use warmish water and don't suck too hard it's fine, and the difference afterwards is incredible.

You do get rebound wax production though so you get clogged up quicker.

hoxtonchick · 08/01/2005 17:53

ewwwwww. have you got drops? wax needs to be soft or they send you away again which is v frustrating

lowcalCOD · 08/01/2005 17:53

ah think its because I use earplugs at night to deadent he noise of dh's snoring

JanH · 08/01/2005 17:55

Olive oil is fine but it does need to be warm - you can buy a little bottle of earwax oil with a dropper (forget its brand name) and you can stand that in a cup of hot water for a few minutes first and then drop it in, it's the easiest way unless you have a dropper already?

lowcalCOD · 08/01/2005 17:55

having my ears syringed is one of my fondest memories of my honeymoon (i got ear infection from all the swimming). and honeymooon was lovely
