DS has measles

I think DS has measles 1 week before his MMR due. Does this have to be reported- are the government/NHS collecting figures ro something?

NHS Direct will know that - or when you see your gp for a diagnosis I think s/he will take care of notification.

yes - it is a reportable disease

DS had to have a swab etc at the GPs
