Anyone out there who is recovering from a haemorrhoidectomy? I’m 6 days post op and struggling with the discomfort and pain. It feels like things aren’t getting any better at the moment. It would be good to chat to someone going through the same thing.

Not yet, I'm on a waiting list for the same procedure. Really hope you're feeling better, I'm very worried about the whole thing!

I'm 8 days post op and it's been really up and down for me! Some days feel like it's getting better but others, after a bowel movement! I'm floored!!

Hoping this gets better for us both very soon 🙏🏼

I was really scared too but it’s not as scary as you think. It requires patience more than anything - it’s not a quick fix unfortunately but I’m sure it’ll be worth it in the end. Good luck!

Still up and down for me too. Some days are definitely better than others and I’m 12 days post op now. The intensity of pain is easing now (although still very uncomfortable during and after a BM) but I now have the stinging which is very uncomfortable. I just feel I can’t go anywhere as I still need to go 2 or 3 times a day. If I was working I’m not sure I’d feel like I could return in a couple of days😂

I saw your message, am seven days after this operation and still very rough going, hoping it worked out well for you in the end

@Tuxedocatty the first couple of weeks are rough. But it does get easier xx
