Loose, impacted wisdom tooth

The title says it all really. Anyone else had this and should I be concerned? Had a niggly, impacted upper left wisdom tooth for years. Flares up every now and again and then the pain goes away, for months and months at a time. After brushing my teeth this evening I noticed it was sore to brush (was fine this morning) and it’s bleeding when I brush it.
Had a bit of a play around with the bit of the tooth that’s erupted and it feels quite loose (moves more than the normal tiny amount that teeth do when jiggled)
Do I need to be concerned about periodontal disease? I don’t think it’s infected, it’s just sore in certain places when touched or brushed, not outright painful. I can’t really see the gum in the mirror because it’s too hidden behind my second molar. I will of course try to get a dentist appt asap, but I didn’t know if this was worth taking an emergency appt away from someone else who might need it much more
