Is this a UTI?

Last week I was experiencing some minor pain in my lower abdomen, slightly to my right hand side. It wasn't terribly sore, but was uncomfortable and sharp at times.

That's now passed, but this last night and today I have been feeling like a need to toilet almost constantly. I am passing urine every time I go, but not huge amounts, and I don't drink much fluids thought out the day, maybe 3 or 4 in total. Which I know is not enough.

Anyway, is it likely to be a UTI if the pain has stopped now? I've never had one, so not sure! No other pain, not blood, etc.

Thanks

Sounds possible. You can have a UTI with frequency being only symptom. Lots of people think you always get pain when peeing, visible blood in urine, feel unwell etc but in my experience it has just been a constant feeling of wanting the loo that was my only sign of it.

A pharmacist can help / prescribe if you don't have any complicating factors

Thanks for your reply. And apologies for how badly written my OP was!

I'll give it a couple of days and see the toilet urges pass. It's bad enough that I have always needed to get up once a night, but all day and all night will wear thin very quickly.

Thank you @thaegumathteth. Good to know, as getting to the doctors isn't convenient right now.

Drink as much as you can (gallons!) to flush it out.

I'd recommend getting seen sooner rather than later

I was too busy with these symptoms and ended up with sepsis

Definitely try to get to a pharmacist tomorrow and get a dip test. The sooner you catch and treat them the better. My DH has just been really ill after leaving it for a few days hoping it would go away.

Sounds like uti to me, definitely drink as much water as you can, and maybe get some ural to help alkalise your urine so it won't sting, defs get a gp appointment so they can test and give you antibiotics if needed, hope you feel better soon, Utis are horrendous
