Incredibly sore throat - no other symptoms - is it really reflux and how can you relieve pain?

I’m getting myself in a pickle about an incredibly sore throat (sometimes too sore to sleeep , eat etc) initially had 2.5 weeks’ of antibiotics and been taking Omeprazole for 2 weeks but nothing is touching it. Had a nose camera done yesterday and said it’s most likely silent reflux but how can I work out the triggers , as in how quickly would you know? I’m ridiculously getting to the point of crying due to pain and was talking codeine and ibuprofen and now read shouldn’t take that if is reflux. Also started Gaviscon advance four times a day. Any advice , experience ? How long will it be this bad as struggling to work and cancelling all engagements! Am I being impatient and what pain relief might help in the meantime ?

Have they swabbed your throat for infection? Have you any other symptoms? Did this just start completely out of the blue?

Sorry for so many questions, I have had GERD for the last 4yrs. You can try raising the head of your bed up, not eating too close to bed time, gargling salt water a few times per day, avoiding trigger foods such as fizzy drinks, caffeine, chocolate, acidic fruits, spicy foods.
