was just in pharmacy and my 2 year old found a cotton wool ball underneath the til, I told him not to touch it. When I’d finished speaking to pharmacist I looked down and saw it had moved right in front of me, pharmacist noticed too so got a clinell wipe so could wipe his hands. Went to post office next where my 4 year old asks why did we wipe her brothers hands and not hers when she touched the cotton wool too, I asked if she’s telling the truth and she said yes. I gelled their hands back in the over then washed with soap when we got home but I’m panicking so much now. I don’t know whether to contact the gp? Or as m I overreacting? It all happened in seconds, I feel awful.

They will be fine. Calm down

yarnbarn · 29/10/2024 13:47

Kindly, what do you think the GP would do?

Futurethinking2026 · 29/10/2024 13:49

Unless they have any open wounds they will be absolutely fine.

sorrynotathome · 29/10/2024 13:50

You’re being ridiculous. No wonder GPs have no time for actual patients.

MakingPlans2025 · 29/10/2024 15:02

You are overreacting
Do not bother your Gp with this jeez

woahyeah · 29/10/2024 16:42

They will be fine.
The blood in the cotton wool was dry, presumably.
You children do not have open, fresh wounds on their hands, presumably.

WeeOrcadian · 29/10/2024 17:01

Unless your DC have open wounds or damaged skin, they'll be fine

I'm not sure what you think the GP would do though?

thaegumathteth · 29/10/2024 17:02

They'll be fine

CallYourselfAChef · 29/10/2024 17:05

You are massively over-reacting. Do you normally have such bad anxiety? You child will be perfectly alright.

KnickerlessParsons · 29/10/2024 17:10

Unless your DC have open wounds or damaged skin, they'll be fine

And if they do have open wounds, they'll also be fine.
