Magnesium supplements and urination

Hello
I wonder if anyone has experienced anything similar.
I've noticed that since starting high strength magnesium bisglycinate, I urinate a lot. I got tested for diabetes when this started and that was negative. Just to note, there's been no change in how thirsty I am, I'm never overly thirsty. The only thing I drink a lot of is tea.
Hence I was wondering if anyone noticed this as a side effect of these supplements? as I couldn't see it mentioned anywhere.
I wake up once a night to pee and when I urinate, there's a reasonable amount of urine that comes out, it's not a dribble.
Anyone??

Yes and no for me. I have noticed more 'flow', but I work out a lot, take on a lot of liquids anyway, and whey protein really increases this too.

I might try cutting this out to see if it helps.

It's a real pain, as the fluid retention means I'm up at 2 am needing to pee, which defeats the point of taking the magnesium to help sleep!

I take magnesium most days and haven't noticed any correlation. But tea - if I have tea in the evening I know I'll be up in the night. Similarly I went into town yesterday and had a cuppa before I went and then needed the loo three times in four hours. I think it irritates my bladder.

@Nikitaspearlearring Tea definitely irritates my bladder so it could be this. I also only drink tea out of big mugs, as opposed to normal cups.

The other thing to note is I have some form of vaginal prolapse, confirmed by the nurse. Would this make me pee more in terms of frequency and volume?
