Norethisterone & Peri-menopause

So have had 3 periods this year (Jan, May and Sept) so I’m assuming I am peri-menopausal. Going away soon, at the same time of the month that I started those periods. It’s 50/50 that I could come on, knowing my luck, I probably will. I have some Norethisterone tablets, just wondering if I should start taking them before I go to be in safe side?

I am on the same thoughts OP. I am peri and my periods are starting to be a bit hit and miss. This means I can no longer coordinate my periods with special dates (holidays, spa days, etc). I have considered taking Norethisterone if I haven't not long finished my period in the last few days before going on holiday, spas etc. But, in doing so, Norethisterone will force my body to have a period when I stop the tablets and when I might not be due one. I really feel it is going to mess with my body while I am in peri but there is NO WAY I am having a period on holiday or for a spa day. It would totally ruin it for me,

Sorry OP, no help but I sympathise with you x

@Verylonglashes - yes when we stop the tablets our bodies will be ‘forced’ into having a period but I suppose I have to look at it would I rather risk having a period whilst on holiday or having a period when I’m back home. I reckon I could get away with 1 or two tablets a day. Bloody peri menopause - although I do feel like I’ve had most of the symptoms (apart from irregular periods) for last 12 years, especially brain fog!!
